Our department was the first undergraduate department in the University of Mumbai. The event was celebrated with a Two Day International Conference on the advances in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology on January 6th/7th, sponsored by the University of Mumbai and Nicholas Piramal. The participants with a total strength of more than 300 comprised of students and staff from different Bioscience Departments of Mumbai Colleges and Goa. The conference culminated in an Alumni Dinner – “Micro Reminiscence” on January 7th 2007, of the Microbiology Dept.
